Claude grew up along the shores of the Ottawa river in the Quebec region known as the Outaouais. From his young age his passion for fishing and hunting was evident. His dream ? To one day fulfill his desire of working in the outdoors and beauty of nature. Already, at age 15, he was preparing his path to a career as a fishing guide by participating in important tournaments of Bass Quebec and Bass Master Ontario.
It was in 1989 when Claude saw his dream come true. The adventure began as he was hired as Fishing & Hunting Guide for the Fairmont Kenauk property just north of Montebello. Since then, Claude has been a renowned mainstay at Kenauk. In 2003 he also became a prestigious team member of the certified Orvis Guides and then went on to form his own company offering Professional Guide services: Pro-Technique.
Pro-Technique offers its Fishing Guide services on the many waters scattered on the Fairmont Kenauk property as well as on the Ottawa River, the Papineau Labelle Nature Reserve and finally also on Simon & Gagnon Lakes. Depending on the nature of the lake, you can fish with Claude speckled, rainbow, brown and gray trout not to mention also bass, musky and land-locked salmon. For those with a passionate interest in fly-rod fishing, Claude also offers valuable lessons and tips.
